Interdisciplinary program in Global Health
Introduction
Many health issues of today, including pandemic diseases, air pollution, climate change, chronic diseases, and health inequalities,
require understanding of health issues in international and interdisciplinary context.
For example, chronic disease prevention and treatment programs will bring greatest benefits from bioengineers who understand
environmental and biologic triggers, patient behaviors, and global health trends.
Interdisciplinary Program in Global Health integrates biomedical engineering, life science, and public health to solve the critical issues
in global health and improve health for all.
The integration of tools from multiple disciplines within health sciences will open new avenues towards precision prevention,
precision diagnosis, and precision treatment of human diseases.
The program aims to raise global leaders in health sciences who are equipped with interdisciplinary and global perspectives.
